Current  Key  Projects

Abacus is proud to be involved in several major activities of national importance.  We are currently active in both systems and software development on important projects for the U.S. Space Shuttle, the U.S. Army Future Combat Systems (FCS) initiative, and the U.S. Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) System.  On the FCS initiative (see picture below), we are involved in areas of System of Systems Engineering Integration (SSEI), Integration Process Simulation and Test (IPS&T) including modeling and simulation, Network Systems and Software Engineering (NSSE), and System of Systems Common Operating Environment (SOSCOE).  In the GMD program, we are involved in systems requirements and software-level specifications as well as overall modeling of the GMD system.  We are also participating in several projects in which we are actively involved in systems engineering and software development for major communications satellite systems.

Currently we are developing several innovative proprietary products including our Multi-model Decision Support System™ (MDSS™) and our initial version of Failure Resistant System Design™ (FRSD™).

Also currently under contract to SafeLink, we are developing a revolutionary geolocation product capable of determining location either indoors or outdoors, surpassing GPS which is not applicable indoors.  In addition, our product will allow us to send wireless signals to "lost" objects to not only determine their locations, but also to disable them.

In the Internet arena, we are actively developing tools and applications to facilitate the implementation of advanced Internet web-sites capable of interacting with other web-sites as well as users.  Our main toolsets are the Abacus Internet Search Engine Toolset™ (AISET™) and the Abacus Textual Analysis and Data Extraction Toolset™ (TADET™), collections of proprietary tools consisting of software programs, heuristic algorithms, and technical procedures.
